The Linux operating system is the reliable work horse which provides the foundation for everything from household modems, webpages, to enterprise grade business platforms.

In 2009 the Codeberg team made the executative decision to move all its business systems to Linux.

This decision was fueled by both issues inherit to Microsoft Windows, as well as a desire to build a deeper understanding of the operating system which powers almost all of the internet. After all, what better way to improve understanding of a software package than by making it the center piece for the businesses every day working routine.

In the years since migrating to Linux, we have experienced aproximatly 80% less down time due to IT System failures, as well as revolutionised the way we develop software.

Moving to Linux has given us access to a broader range of cutting edge technologies and systems, but more importantly, Linux has introduced us to a community of global innovators, practices and ideas that would have otherwise been unimaginable to us at the time.
